Downsizing the Basement Bar

David has been working a lot on our basement lately.  A couple of weeks ago we demolished the clunky bar it has changed so much.  David kept cutting it and cutting it until it was the size we wanted.  I think that it is the perfect size now, and once we have the overhanging top, it will look even bigger.

Since the bar was built from oak, it isn’t the easiest to work with, and I don’t like the look of just painting over oak.  We thought it would be easiest, and look best if we used ship lap over the existing bar.

It looks so great, and once the floors and counters are in, we can paint everything and be officially done with this basement!
