I am so thankful that the boys nap so well. Eli still naps from 1:30-3:30 and Dax naps from 9:30-10:30 and 1:30-3. This break is so needed during the week, it is my only chance to workout, prep meals, catch up on emails, etc. During the weekend, this is the time David likes to get projects done. Lately, a lot of these projects require cutting and loud noises, so we are trying to avoid that during nap time. It’s crazy because the boys lived through noise and chaos when the contractors were here for months and months. But, now that they are used to peace and quiet again, one loud nap might throw them off for a few days, and this mama doesn’t need that!
Obviously the mudroom is the current big project that we are working on, but David said it will be really loud, so this is on pause and we started the laundry room up again. He mudded some of the wall on Saturday, and then sanded it on Sunday. Even though it made a dusty mess (right after the housekeepers came of course), the walls are smooth and are ready for priming. This will make the room look so much lighter and cleaner and will take us one step closer to painting, wallpaper, and cabinets. Is it weird I am so excited for a laundry room to be finished?A little sidetone, Eli is having surgery on Thursday, so I will be taking a short break to take care of him, but hopefully recovery is quick and I can post house updates ASAP.
Have a great rest of the week!
