After we purchased Scoria, we knew it wasn’t worth it to get a custom closet built. David promised that in the next house, we could. Well, that next house was Owl, and we were there for a quick minute, so I never got around to getting my closet there either. Too bad because I had my own huge walk-in. Darn! We built Compass Pointe and we had companies come to give us closet bids, but at the end of it all, we decided it wasn’t a forever home, so to pay a few thousand in a custom closet was ridiculous. That ended up being a good thing because we ended up moving from there too, blah! Finally, we are here in the new house and we built a brand new walk-in, so we really had no chouce but to get it customized for us. We researched a ton of companies, considered IKEA, looked at pre-made closet systems that just needed to be drilled in, etc. Some were more expensive than others, but we didn’t even care about price at this point. What annoyed us- well me, was that even though all of these closets were beautiful and semi-custom, non of them really fit 100% of our needs. We decided that one more project for David is really NBD, so this past weekend he started building us a compltely custom closet. My clothes are currently taking up Eli’s temporary room, Eli’s big boy room, our future laundry room, and the basement. David’s closet is currently the pool table in the basement- and we discovered the cat has been sleeping on all of his clothes during the day and also vomiting all over them. Pleasant! Hopefully this upcoming weekend we can maybe move our things in? I think every single room is filled with our clothes.
