In all of our homes, the cabinets never went to the ceiling. To me, this looked a little tacky and incomplete. With this house, our cabinets go a lot higher than our previous homes, plus we are doing crown molding. So far, they are looking beautiful and just what I had envisioned.
Since the counters are not in yet, things are a bit slow around here. The appliances did arrive, and from what I can see, they are going to look really good in the kitchen. We did have a little problem with our microwave, but our contractor thinks that he can fix the problem. If not, we have to sell it and buy a new one. More on that later. Fingers crossed we get it worked out!
